MLB and NFL Legends Hit the Courts

On July 15th, CityPickle partnered with JOOLA to host Court of Legends, an incredible night featuring three professional sports icons and Pickleball Coach to the Stars, Matt Manasse.

We were thrilled to welcome a spectacular lineup of NFL and MLB legends, including,

• Tino Martinez, 4x World Series Champion, New York Yankees Legend, and 2x All-Star
• Eric Decker, former Jets and Denver Broncos NFL Wide Receiver with 3 consecutive 10+ touchdown seasons
• Clint Frazier, former New York Yankees outfielder and top-5 MLB draft pick

Frazier, Martinez, Decker, and Manasse hit the courts and played with and against CityPickle players. Here, CityPickle player Kyle Virden, battles it out with Clint Frazier in a memorable matchup.

CityPickle was also proud to support Conquer Kids Pickleball, whose mission is to expand pickleball opportunities to youth across NYC.



The evening continued with an exciting exhibition match featuring Martinez, Decker, Frazier, and Manasse. While guests watched the pros showcase their pickleball skills, they enjoyed our exclusive CityPickle Stadium menu featuring favorite game-time snacks and featured cocktails.

Finally, guests got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet their favorite athletes during a meet-and-greet, followed by a chance to win an exclusive JOOLA paddle signed by all four athletes.

Court of Legends united athletes from different sports through the shared love of pickleball. Our Times Square courts were filled with friendly rallies, cheering fans, and overall incredible energy. The event showcased what CityPickle is all about: creating joy and community through pickleball and being a home for the interaction of sports.
