Big things are coming to DUMBO! Our transformation of Brooklyn’s Anchorage Plaza is making headlines across TimeOut New York, New York Business Journal, 6sqft, Commercial Observer, Athletech News, the Dink, and New York YIMBY.

For the first time in over 15 years, nearly two football fields of fenced-off space beneath the Brooklyn Bridge will be reimagined as CityPickle Brooklyn Bridge, a dynamic public destination centered on play and community.

Spanning 60,000 square feet between Old Fulton and Washington Streets, the project will include 11 pickleball courts, food trucks, community spaces, seating and shade, and community programming.

The project is made possible through a public-private partnership. CityPickle was selected as the top-rated proposer in NYC Parks’ 2024 Request for Proposals and has entered into a three-year license agreement, with three one-year extension options.

NYC Parks First Deputy Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa said, “By transforming this fenced-off lot into a dynamic public plaza, we’re giving New Yorkers and visitors a safe and accessible place to work up a sweat and take in the fresh air, here in scenic DUMBO.”

CityPickle Brooklyn Bridge will open following permitting and construction and builds on the brand’s successful seasonal partnership at Wollman Rink in Central Park, where more than 130,000 players have taken the courts.
