CityPickle Solidifies Stake as New York City’s Home for the Fastest Growing Sport With Impressive New Hire and Ambitious Expansion
New York City (January 26, 2023) – CityPickle, New York City’s home for the country’s fastest growing sport, announces the hire of marketing executive and USA Pickleball Ambassador Lydia Hirt in the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Hirt joins CityPickle ahead of the launch for its first permanent indoor location, in addition to other citywide and national activations in 2023.
A proven local leader and a USA Pickleball Ambassador for Manhattan, Hirt has a deep bench of experience hosting events and fostering community surrounding the sport in an urban destination. She’s launched social media channels to connect with players of all ages and levels and has been featured for her role in The Washington Post, Bustle, Observer and more.
Hirt also has a proven track record as a marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience. Most recently, she was with Penguin Random House as the Director of Marketing and Partnerships for the iconic Viking and Penguin imprints, supporting notable authors such as Adam Grant, Bozoma Saint John and Elizabeth Gilbert.

CityPickle will launch its first permanent location in Long Island City in Spring of 2023. The CityPickle concept combines indoor, climate-controlled courts with a full bar and restaurant, making it the ideal destination to spend healthy, quality time with friends, family and colleagues alike. CityPickle is confirmed for additional activations in the City and nationally as well.
