CityPickle is Hiring: Marketing Manager / Assistant Director of Marketing

As the Marketing Manager / Assistant Director at CityPickle, you'll play a pivotal role in our dynamic marketing team, making a significant impact in our fast-paced and vibrant environment. Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you'll have bright energy, embody a self-starter mentality, and lead key initiatives in external communications and branding, sponsorships and partnerships, and community engagement. 

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

External Communications:

 - Social Media Management

       ∎ Create and manage a content calendar

       ∎ Produce visually appealing and innovative content using platforms such as Reels and Canva

       ∎ Craft engaging and on-brand captions that enhance engagement and communicate key brand messages

 - Influencer Outreach:

       ∎ Proactively identify and reach out to influencers aligned with CityPickle's brand

 - Newsletter Strategy:

       ∎ Play a vital role in organizing and implementing an effective newsletter strategy, content and copy

 - Blog, website, booking platform content and updates:

       ∎ Comfortable writing longer form content

       ∎ Communicating requests, updates, and programming with internal and external tech and development partners

Sponsorships and Partnerships:

 - Identify both long-term and short-term sponsorship and partnership opportunities for CityPickle

 - Design visually appealing pitch decks to communicate partnership opportunities

 - Collaborate with CMO and internal teams to oversee and ensure best in class execution of deliverables 

       ∎ Contribute to tracking and ensuring the fulfillment of each partnership using Sponsorship Tracker

       ∎ Create reports to be shared with sponsors

Onsite Efforts:

 - Event conceptualization:

       ∎ Work closely with the Events, Operations, and Programming Teams

       ∎ Conceptualize, plan, and promote thematic and branded events such as a pickleball tournament or Singles Night

       ∎ Work with partners to execute Brand Activations such as a product roll-out or pop-up

 - Community Engagement:

       ∎ Seek out local partnerships and create synergistic relationships

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

 - Bright energy, a collaborative spirit, and a drive for excellence

 - Creative thinking and an interest in creating new opportunities and processes in marketing and strategy

 - Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

 - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships

 - Compelling, polished copywriting

 - Proficient in graphic design principles, typography, and layout. Able to craft sponsorship decks and marketing collateral. Knowledge of Canva, Pitch.com, Google Slides, other design platforms a plus

 - Data-driven. Comfortable with metrics and spreadsheets

 - Self-starter, able to take ownership over tasks and carry them to the end

 - Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of marketing experience in a related role

 - NYC based and ability to be on site as needed

 - Bonus: Interest in pickleball!

Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience. Insurance benefits included.
